TruckWeight works by very accurately measuring pressure and temperature changes in your vehicles air suspension. Simply mount TruckWeights tiny sensor unit to the frame of the tractor and/or trailer, and tee it into the air suspension line with the tee provided. After a quick calibration, TruckWeight then sends pressure and temperature information directly to your handheld receiver, instantly providing you with weight measurements accurate to within 0.3% of your gross vehicle weight time after time! When the Smart Scale detects loading, rapid response mode is activated. In this mode, a weight reading is provided every 3 seconds during a 15-minute span. The feature meets the requirements of pit and quarry operations, refuse haulers, and others who need fast, frequent readings while loading. During regular use, the system produces a new measurement once per minute. The sensors operate on two “AA” batteries. With the touch of a button, operators can monitor axle groups and gross vehicle weight in kilos, either from the cab or within metres of the tractor or trailer. Small, lightweight, and durable, TruckWeight is virtually worry-free. It’s waterproof, weatherproof, shock resistant, non-corrosive, and accurate in temperature extremes ranging from -40C to +70C.
